8th April 2019
Team Acuña spent the day with 100 children from the indigenous Aeta Magbukun Tribe in Central Luzon. They brought over 400 books which were donated anonymously to BUGTAW and shipped from Brunei — a country more than 1500km away. Kanawan is so remote that there is no road access to the school. They had to take a motorcycle then trek on foot to get there. Team Acuña and the kids played games and read books together; having fun whilst encouraging English literacy and reading. |
